HI -
What's a reasonable price on an Alaska Channing III or Liberty? I'm looking for direct vent if that matters. I don't have any comparisons and want to make sure my dealer isn't gouging in this drought...
thanks
Todd

Why not call around to other dealers. Jones hardware advertises them for 2350.00 but that doesn't include the DV. This is what my theif of a dealer charged me 2 years ago.

1. 2025 for the stove.
2. Cast Iron Top: 265.00
3. Direct Vent: 425.00
4. Deliver: 150.00

This was with out legs, clean glass or brass accents.

The one I have on order (be here next week) is $2300 for the stove $250 for the cast top $575 for the vent $85 for the legs. I called a dealer in N.Y. Thurs and his prices were pretty much the same as what my dealer gave me for a price and that was in early June.

Call Lesiure Line and see what they want for a power vent. Maybe you can see some money. I think you may be better off anyway if you have a top vent.

Price at the factroy showroom as of Friday . Base channing III with plain metal top and auto heat $1975 MSRP. Legs were an additional $85, clean glass $85, and brass was $85, I think they said there upgraded high low thermostat was another $275. I'm not sure abou the cast top or direct vent ($425 2 yrs ago).

Thanks for the info. The dealer said "an alaska goes for about $3200" but we need to discuss which model/options he's talking about...
