Will bush Cancel The Election?

Will bush Cancel The Election?

PostBy: ken On: Sat Sep 27, 2008 11:10 am

It is time to think about the "unthinkable."
The Bush Administration has both the inclination and the power to cancel the 2008 election.

The GOP strategy for another electoral theft in 2008 has taken clear shape, though we must assume there is much more we don't know.

But we must also assume that if it appears to Team Bush/Cheney/Rove that the GOP will lose the 2008 election anyway (as it lost in Ohio 2006) we cannot ignore the possibility that they would simply cancel the election. Those who think this crew will quietly walk away from power are simply not paying attention.

The real question is not how or when they might do it. It's how, realistically, we can stop them.

In Florida 2000, Team Bush had a game plan involving a handful of tactics. With Jeb Bush in the governor's mansion, the GOP used a combination of disenfranchisement, intimidation, faulty ballots, electronic voting fraud, a rigged vote count and an aborted recount, courtesy of the US Supreme Court.

Army Brigade Being Assigned to the 'Homeland' - Readying For Cancelled Elections

Several bloggers today have pointed to this obviously disturbing article from Army Times, which announces that "beginning Oct. 1 for 12 months, the [1st Brigade Combat Team of the 3rd Infantry Division] will be under the day-to-day control of U.S. Army North" -- "the first time an active unit has been given a dedicated assignment to NorthCom, a joint command established in 2002 to provide command and control for federal homeland defense efforts and coordinate defense support of civil authorities." The article details:

They'll learn new skills, use some of the ones they acquired in the war zone and more than likely will not be shot at while doing any of it.

They may be called upon to help with civil unrest and crowd control or to deal with potentially horrific scenarios such as massive poisoning and chaos in response to a chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear or high-yield explosive, or CBRNE, attack. . . .

If that were to happen, it would be time to start loading some hollow-points & FMJ & take back our country from the real "Terrorist Hijackers" in this administration! :rambo: :rambo2:

Personally, I'd welcome it!

From 1972 to 1975 I was in the 82nd Airborne division. The entire division trained for domestic riot control. It was meant as backup for the National Guard. I wouldn't read to much into the fact that a Brigade Combat Team is training for riot control. It used to be standard procedure.

The current Attorney-General, Alberto Gonzales, has not backed away from his announcement to Congress that the Constitution does not guarantee habeas corpus. The administration continues to act on the assumption that it can arrest anyone at any time and hold them without notification or trial for as long as it wants.

The establishment of the Homeland Security Agency has given it additional hardware to decimate the basic human rights of our citizenry. Under the guise of dealing with the "immigration problem," large concentration camps are under construction around the US.

Come on now,, how has this influenced your life,, other than you believing what you read on your 'conspiracy blogs' , what if any of this has any effect on your life..

Are my phone conversations monitored?? who knows, and I hope they find my conversations amusing..
Am I being denied Habius Corpus?? nope, I'm not in need of that right.
And are they REALLY building 'concentration camps' 'around the US' come on,, if they are, give 'em my address, I want to sell them a hundred acres or so.

I laughed so hard reading the first few posts on this thread,, then thought,, someone actually believes this crap!! Now THAT is scary !!

If the internet was around during the early 60's, can you imagine the blogs and crap that would have been available to read about the cuban missle crissis, and the assasination of JFK ? Just a thought,, maybe THAT conspiracy would be a better place to spend your time, at least it is a REAL conspriracy.

I think you guys are smoking something... This really is the United States folks; not, some banana republic run by thugs. We really do have documents called the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights. Civics 101: We really do have an elaborate Federal Government; along with, a complex system of checks and balances. As a matter of fact: We have the best government in the world! Consisting of the following:

Executive branch: George W. Bush, our President, and Commander-in-Chief
Legislative branch: Senate consisting of 100 Senators and House of Representative with 435 Congressmen
Judicial branch: Supreme Court with nine Justices.

Get with the program! Have any of you ever lived overseas or travelled to a 3rd world country??? Stop your f'ing whining and get real. If you don't like it---MOVE TO ANOTHER COUNTRY!! Then you'll really have something to whine about!!!

There's the problem right there! (but it will soon be all over)

When I really think about it though, there's no way Bush could pull it off. Even if he (Bush) managed to convince all the troops left in this country (who aren't already in Iraq), there are are 2 of them left!!....Bob & Larry .........& they are both doing yard work at Dick Cheney's mansion!

CommonDreams.org is an Internet-based progressive news and grassroots activism organization

Anytime you see the word "grassroots" you can be sure the wackos are headed there.

The article is coauthored by Harvey Wasserman, a leftist wacko.

The Internet is a beautiful thing, anybody can say anything and out it goes...unless you happen to live in a country where the government controls what sites you can go to.

I was going to let your post slide.......but I just cant do it.

"This really is the United States folks; not, some banana republic run by thugs".....Yes it is the United States & yes, it has been & is being run by "Thugs" called GW Bush & Dick Cheney.

"We really do have documents called the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights." Those documents have not been looked at for the last 8 years. This administration doesn't believe in them!

"We really do have an elaborate Federal Government; along with, a complex system of checks and balances."
There have been no checks & balances for the last 8 years....That's why we are on the verge of another Great Depression!

You obviously have no concept of what a free country is supposed to be & your statement is the most un-American rant I have read in a long time! I suggest perhaps you may be happier living in a dictatorship since you obviously don't understand what it means to be a real American!

Dev, quick, go drink some strong salt water, and puck up the overdose of conspiracy pills you took,, quick.. !!

Lets see, if when the twin towers were hit and ~3000 Americans were murdered,, if Bush did nothing, would he have such a negative following? I think so if fact if he hadn't reacted strongly, I'd say he'd have been impeached by now.. I'm sure Jimmy Carter would have hidden under the desk in the Oval office for the last 8 years..

Bush is far from perfect.. but come on,, get over it.. better yet,, try celebrating early.. the inauguration of a new president is next year.. try celebrating early.. say one or two sixpacks a night.. hopefully the inebriation and the ensuing hangovers for the next several months will anestesize you to the pain of the election..

Now, could GWB canel the election.. not a chance,

When the Marine barracks were bombed in 1983 & hundreds of Marines were killed........What decisive action did Ronald Reagan take again?...........Oh right.....He cut & ran....did nothing. One the other hand, during the Iran Hostage Crisis, Jimmy Carter launched an attack into Iran to rescue our men & women. The attack failed but at least Carter tried...which is more than Reagan did.

LsFarm wrote:Bush is far from perfect..

We agree there Greg. The 9/11 attack was carried out by Saudi Arabians & so, who does Bush invade......Iraq!

LsFarm wrote:Now, could GWB canel the election.. not a chance,

Do I seriously worry about that possibility? Of course not.....But not for trust in Bush's integrity....It would not be possible because, as the worst president in U.S. history, he is one of the most hated men in this country right now & couldn't even show his face at his own party's convention. Could he get a group of soldiers to back a coup with him?...Not a chance!
