The answer is that, in a McCain Administration, while there undoubtedly would be a new tax on your employer's health care contribution, .......the $5,000.00 tax credit however, will be shot down or greatly reduced by the Republicans in Congress. It's that simple! (I could even write the press release explaining the need to strip out the tax credit for the benefit of all Americans! ) $5,000 is simply McCain's stated proposal on election eve. He knows it would never go through!!
McCain's plan is just another deception.....His latest dirty trick!

FYI on the cost question....

I and my wife are each self employed. We have individual policies with "Could Care-Less" BCBS of Maryland. My wife and daughter are on one policy, I am on another policy with a much higher deductible. I didn't take the time to look at the specific amount, but it is very close to $6,100 per year. I would think that an employer + employee cost for a group policy would be much lower than an individual policy.

I shop around for coverage every couple years and I haven't found anything better for the money. If I am missing out on something, let me know!
