I'm just hoping that it stays that way, sounds like they might re-vote on the issue, hopefully they won't waiver.

Unfortunately a vote of no is not a good thing, nor is it a bad thing. We need money to free up credit, but a little 700 billion isn't going to put us back on the plus side of things and may only delay what is to come down the road. The President will once again talk to us at 8:45 this morning to try and help the market from being minus again today, not like he has any tout left in his presidency.

I don't want to hear a word from him except...."I will resign the Presidency as of noon tomorrow." (what Nixon said)

Let the next President & Congress handle it.

Here's a logical syllogy:

GW Bush is a liar who only employs liars
Sec. of Treasury Paulson is an employee of GW Bush

Therefore: (fill in the blank) ;)

The problem with that thought is we will be in a recession and a lot of people will be out of work before they get into office.

I like the idea of raising the FDIC from 100k to 250k, was telling this to the wife the other day. It's been 28 years since they updated that amount, too many people have lost money because of the low amount of insurance the FDIC is providing with all the banks going under.
