Chimney Block Ties

I am building my chimney this weekend. For those of you that have built your own chimneys, what did you use to tie your blocks to the wall? Will brick ties work or will I need something more beefier? My blocks will be 1" away from the wall (clap board removed).

I used brick ties. I put three on each block and used galvanized twisted nails to secure them into the house.

Just picked up some ties today.
