Gibraltar Insert - replacement blower

Gibraltar Insert - replacement blower

PostBy: lbathome On: Thu Oct 02, 2008 3:48 pm

Hi -

I just came across this site. I bought a house with a Gibraltar insert in the fireplace. The blower is broken and I need to figure out how to get a comparable one.

How do I tell what model it is? I've been all over it and didn't find anything. I've attached a picture of the stove.

Everything else seems to be in order, but I don't get much heat without the blower.

Any help would be appreciated! It's getting cold outside...

Take it apart and get a model number on the blower, there are many online retailers of blowers/fans...

Your Gibraltar insert is a DDi model they came with either a Fasco or a Dayton blower on them the best thing to do is
take the old one off look at the model # and match it with the list on the first link below they have about the best price
The second link is close in price PM me if you need more info

Hi,
I also have purchased a house with a Gibraltar insert but no manual. Luckily, google pointed me to this forum and I was able to download a manual someone posted. Unfortunately, it turns out I need a blower and the previous owners didn't leave one behind.

How can I tell what kind of blower to purchase?

Also, does this burn wood logs? or coal? or both? (sorry for what is probably an obvious question)

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks!!
