Can I afford a coal boiler after the BAIL OUT passed?

PostBy: Normy On: Fri Oct 03, 2008 7:36 pm

Upfront....I do not support the 700 I mean 850 billion bail out  :mad3: :mad2: :jawdrop: :chop:  .....with that being said:

The good news, I'll be able to get a loan for the coal boiler and all the necessary items.

The bad news, after the bail out I won't be able to pay the loan off. :eek2: :fear:

I'm a bit blown away that they're spending 8,000 bazillion dollars when all they needed was a one page insurance policy. Blown away, but not surprised.

Now they're saying it could take anywhere from 6 months to a year to see if this will work. Nice to know their rolling the dice on our dime !!

Can you afford not to?

It pays for itself. The cost of purchase and installation my be eye popping to some but that money will be paid off in few years though savings on your heating bill. It's all gravy after that. 25 years from now you'll look back and decide it was one of the best financial decisions you ever made.

I find it ironic that someone is giving a loan to all the stooges who made bad loans  Is someone making sure they are able to pay it back? Is there any regulation in place :) Scott

If you got a Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac maybe you can get some help from the government :?:

Nope, I've seen several finacial analists this week say there's no guarantee that this bail out will even work and it will take 6-12 months to see any results. This is a free pass for wreckless spending and we get to foot the bill

All you have to do now is don't pay your mortgage this month!!!!!!! The government will bail you out. Presto! money to buy your boiler (or anything else you want) As for me I want a Harley and an Ak 47or a Springfield M-1 Garand :D :P It's not as if we actually are REQUIRED to have responsability or a job. Why should I save my money. I quote captain Smith of the Titanic "I've just lit the last four boilers, full speed ahead!" I also quote captain Joseph Hazelwood "does anyone want a shot of vodka I'm off duty now! :wine:  Don't just get a boiler, get an Axman Anderson there the best. You have nothing to fear but fear itself! :D
