Dave,

Did you do the Matthaus threaded rod ????

And how far is that rheostat for the PV turned ??? Just curious if it is about 25%.

I had a near catastophe this morning. While checking the Alaska in my home garage this AM before going to work, I noticed that our old generator was leaking gas onto the garage floor. I immediately shut down the stove and removed the generator outside. I left the overhead door cracked to get the fumes out during the day. I restarted it tonight. You probably would have heard the boom up your way.

Did your fan quiet any ???

That's why there are regulations stating that appliances with open flame must be elevated in garages to lessen the chance of fumes igniting.

rick, I did not use the Matthaus threaded rod this time. I bought a new replacement part from the dealer for 6 bucks.

The rheostat position is a little weird. The rheostat setting is actually up about 60%, but the actual fan is only on about 25%. It used to sound like a swarm of bees outside, but now you can't even hear it.

HA! I turned off my stove last night, and a funny thing happened! IT WENT OUT! Usually it would climb into the hopper and start a fire because of all the draft I had. SWEET!
