Who the world wants for U.S. Prez

This is astounding! Countries you never heard of resoundingly choose Obama. Must be the skin tone?
Funny, after we won the Cold War, many countries dumped us like yesterdays newspaper, didn't need us anymore and I think this is a continuation of that. The world is divided into 2 camps, predators and pacifists, the pacifists think that negotiation will solve all problems, and the predators (states like Iran, & Russia and terrorists) love that philosophy too, and would crush the pacifists like bugs if the U.S. was not around as the cop on the world beat.

I say pull out of most of the world and let them beat the *censored* out of each other, the African way. No fear of America there and look at it, they hack each other to bits on a regular basis.

"states like Iran, & Russia and terrorists"

You forgot to include the current United States in that group.

The people in the world are hoping that there will be a return of US greatness, and see Oboma as the candidate that might be able to turn us around.

The U.S.? You must be joking, shedding your own blood and treasure for the betterment of an oppressed people on the other side of the globe? That's a horrible insult to those who have died doing it.

Devil, Royal Dutch Shell, "one of the biggest oil companies in the world", is not an American company.

From Wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_Dutch_Shell

Royal Dutch Shell plc, commonly known simply as Shell, is a multinational oil company ......

Shell operates in over 140 countries. In the United States, its Shell Oil Company subsidiary, headquartered in Houston, Texas, is one of Shell's largest businesses.

All the big oil companies are now multinational so it makes no difference where the headquarters are located.
(You really think we would do all the "Heavy Lifting" in Iraq & then hand over their oil to the Dutch or British?)

Anyway, the topic is about who the world wants as U.S. Prez & no one in the world or in our country wants another Bush for many reasons. The real motivations for the Iraq war are obvious to all.

I agree, I just thought it was amazing that countries that don't know squat about the U.S., have an opinion base on the before mention squat.

A buddy who travels extensively and who has been in Europe for the past month says it's because European news outlets get their information from the NY Times, and the people get it from CNN. Makes sense.

I think it's pretty funny that the same libs that complain that the war was all about big oil and the forthcoming contracts, are the same ones complaining that we did not get enough of the contracts and we should demand or just take them.

It's even more amazing that some countries know more about the U.S. and how to operate within it, than most of the U.S. citizens that live here (myself included)!

Crazy thought isn't it? As though some how Bush's secretly owned oil company is now nosing its secretly owned tankers up to the secretly owned oil distribution port in Iraq, bound for that secretly owned refinery in Houston, where secret & massive Bush checks are printed and deposited in Bush accounts each day. :o :o

Here I thought is was a world commodity, Alaskan oil going to the closest markets, Japan and the West Coast of California, Venezuelan oil going the short route to the East Coast of the the U.S. etc.

I think we went into Iraq because Bush listened to that criminal Rumsfeild who told him with a light force & "Shock & Awe" (oh how I hate that term) we would free the people and be outta there in 6 months. Look how quick it settled down after the surge moved in. Could have been that way from the beginning. That bastard should have hung right there next to Saddam...... :chop:
