I'm just curious about what the ZC terminal is used for. I'm looking at the schematic for my L8124 it looks like the ZR terminal applies power to the low limit circuit turning it on bypassing the temperature probe. The ZC terminal is on the neutral of the same circuit. What would it be used for?

After looking at other layouts provided by Honeywell it looks like they use ZC as the neutral for the primary coil for the R845 relay when configuring the L8124 for multi zone operation without a zone controller.

Hi Bill,

look at pg 4 of this L8124 manual[attached]. You will see on the L8124A\C that the ZC is the Hot connection. It even shows how it gets hooked up to a R845A zone relay.

Hope this helps,
Jeremy
