I never really had much against Romney as Governor other than the realization that he was simply using it as a stepping stone to try to reach the Presidency. He was OK & fairly moderate in his views but really did nothing, either good or bad, imo. He was caught employing illegal aliens to work on his private home (mansion) here in this state, which was pretty illuminating as to who he really is though. He would have been a much smarter VP choice for McCain than "Miss America" though! (he would have given McCain much needed "weight" for the economic problems that are now issue # 1)

I have to disagree with your statement above though. I think this election provides the clearest distinction between the 2 major sides that i can ever remember! Every issue presents a clear choice: Health care, Iraq, abortion....you name it!
McCain & Obama agree on almost nothing ..........except the need to 'Socialize" corporate debt!

(it just cracks me up to hear McCain's latest attack that Obama is a Socialist!!

.....McCain was a bigger supporter of the bailout than Obama was!)
