Here are some pictures of my Ashley ASA7. It is of course a hand fired stove and the manual says it can burn bituminous or anthracite. I have alot of wood left 8 face cord of dry maple and would like to burn it up too. Does this look like a good design for the shaker grates as compared to the Harman and Hitzer stoves. I think this is a copy of the Harman Mark I.

I have a line on bagged anthracite for $340.00 a ton and can buy bituminous by the ton for $180.00 in Flint,MI and would have to rent a trailer. It seems that you can only get anthracite bagged here in Michigan, if anyone knows where to get it in bulk loose let me know please.

Hello bushman, bulk coal is hard to find in michigan.. If you are willing to drive to N. Ohio or N. Indianna, then you can buy bulk coal.. Pm me for additional info.
