Stove in outbuilding

Stove in outbuilding

PostBy: Hunlock On: Mon Oct 13, 2008 7:00 pm

Hello.

In addition to the Hyfire II that will be coming my way shortly, I have another stove, and need info.

I have a few outbuilding on my property, one of which contains a really old looking stove...On the front, it says Wehrle Co. "Utility".
It is only about 2.5 to 3 feet tall, and has a "shaker grate"...Sorry, I can find any additional numbers on it.

I know you guys love pics, but do not have any at the moment.

Can anyone tell me anything about it?

Thanks!

Tim

Maybe you can compare it to other stoves from the 'photos of your stove' thread ?? Maybe you can find a photo of a similar stove..

Or you can look on some of these sites for a similar unit:

OK, I'd call that a flat top cook stove or cabin stove.. I think there was someone else posting some photos of a similar stove. This might be a good unit for a garage, or a hunting cabin... but for your home,, you have one of the best available.. the HYfire II.

Maybe another forum member has a similar stove and can offer some more info..

Thanks for your help. I'm very new to the coal game, and had no idea what to call it. I'm going to clean it up, and get it going in my outbuilding. Should be good enough to heat the "man cave"....lol
