Recommended Stove Pipe Gauge?

I have a Hitzer 50-93. Just wanted to get some recommendations on what gauge pipe I should be using.

Minimum of 24, 22 is preferable.

I agree with Markviii 22 ga is better then 24 ga but 18 ga is better then 22 ga. but try to find it or even 22 ga both
are hard to find stay away from 26 ga on a coal unit you will get one season if you are lucky to thin & soft

I have found that Grey Metals corp. 24 ga black pipe holds up the best. In my area we can find it in any hardwear store as it is made 15 miles from my house. I have friends that have worked there and tell me that it is not all in the guage but in the material that makes the difference. I have gotten up to 6 years out of Grey Metals corp. pipe and replaced my baro tee that was not Grey made after 3 years. The fit up on the pipe is excellent and you will see that the pipe doesnt bend well, it acts more like spring steel in a way. The really good thing is that it costs less than imperial and the other dept. and do it your self chain store pipe. You will know it is Grey made by the stamping that is by the crimp ends.
