My 2007 model LLPioneer with the TS2 thermostat has a black cover junction box on the back of the hopper, one power in plug with output plugs for combustion blower, feeder, convection blower and one unused plug with a green band assumed to be for the optional igniter. Some LL stoves have a second combustion blower,my model only comes with one,I would like to add a second identical combustion blower bolted directly to my ductwork about 8 feet from the stove to more evenly distribute heat thru a 2 story house. Is the junction box sufficient for the current from a second blower?OK to wire the unused plug in parallel with the existing combustion blower plug so it will cycle with the stove? The stove is at one end of the house/ductwork and if the power goes off long enough for the fire to go out the oil burner will keep the pipes from freezing with no chance of both heater(furnace&stove) blowers pushing against each other.Recommendations?Schematics/wiring diagrams available?New junction box with 2nd convection blower plug available that will work with the TS2?And hopefully be a quick swap so the fire stays lit? Don't get combustion and convection mixed up. Combustion fan should run all the time. Convection blower is what washes the heat from the stove. There is 2 plugs for convection on mine, I think they want paired motors on those.

Yes, you can run up to 2 amps on the CONVECTION blower plug, I have 2 blowers on my stove (standard) and they draw about 1.5-1.8 Amps together.

As long you match the existing blower, you can put a 2 way plug to hook 2 blowers up the one outlet.

YOu could also just hook up a temp. thermostat (DuctStat at Home Depot or equal) and then just run it when needed?

If you wish to control a second convection blower, identical to the one already on the stove, you can plug a Y-splitter into the convection fan receptacle. The current rating of two standard pioneer stove convection fans is within the rating of the Coal-trol. We strongly recommend against modifying the receptacle plugs or opening up the Coal-trol box/plate for any reason. Any mistakes made that result in electrical and/or physical damage to the Coal-trol or the motors it controls would probably not be covered by either the Coal-trol or Leisure Line warranty after a modification like that.

I did type that incorrectly,it was correct in my mind,2nd convection blower is what I meant. The 2nd one will run whenever the stove has the convection blower running, most of the time ,except when on idle or very low fire.Since it will be a low airflow compared to what the oil burner pushes thru the duct,on most of the time will be ok,quieter too.The bedroom at the far end of the house is about 5 or 6 degrees cooler than the downstairs since the temps outside have dropped.I'll order a second blower and get a splitter for the plug,I just love simple cheap fixes that work. Thanks for the info.
