glass gasket

i just purchased a pioneer tv and have been running it for about a week. works great so far and am very pleased with my purchase, however i have noticed the gasket around the glass on the inside of the door is starting to come away from the glass in quite a few spots. should i be concerned with this and, if so, how do i go about getting a new gasket or fix the existing one. thanks ,from a proud coal burner in vermont

as long as it looks like it is sealed, it should be okay, but if there are air gaps, it should be replaced. Just plain rope gasket (like for a wood stove door) would work. Some adhesive to hold it in place. It comes in different thicknesses, so make sure you get the correct size.

My glass gasket is totally off of the inside of the glass but the outside of the glass still has the gasket compressed against the door. Nothing to be concerned about. The only thing that upsets me about it is the ash likes to lay on the gasket that has come away from the glass and when you wipe the glass it is inevitable you will knock some ash onto the floor.

Ricks advice is right. Don't worry about the gasket on the inside of the glass, just the door side.
