Why do you need a e-mail account and how is this used?

Your e-mail address is used by this forum for account activation and many features it provides. The only e-mail you will receive from us is the one for account activation, after that what you receive is completely up to you. By default all e-mail options are disabled. They can be enabled or disabled in your profile. For example if enabled when you post a new topic or reply to a topic you don't have to return to the forum to see if there are any replies. The forum will e-mail you a message when and if your post or reply has any subsequent replies. It will only e-mail you one notification, notification of new replies will only happen if you visit the topic again or make a reply to a topic.

The information about you that is visible to other posters on this forum is strictly up to you, your e-mail address will be visible to no one unless you choose for it to be. The information you provide to us will stay with us. At no time will it be given to anyone nor will it be used by us for sending e-mail with the exception of features for this board that you select.
