Got pretty windy out today and had the stove running. Adjustment on the baro is set at .04 Had manometer hooked up to see what was going on. When wind settled down and baro was closed manometer was reading .02-.03" When wind picked up manometer went up to about .05-.06, at that time baro opened up and reading dropped right back to about .02-.03". This is how it's supposed to work correct? New to this baro thing and wanted to be sure.

Excatly, otherwise, you would sucking all the extra heat out of your stove, keeps it a constant .02 to .04, depending on your setting. Even though you may have way more draft in the pipe. Mine runs a bit open most of the time when it get really cold, and more when the wind blows.

Thanks guys, I was worried about using the chimney. Stove is 6" into an 8 " thimble into an 8"x13" flue. When temps outside are running 50'-55' i'm running right on the low on manometer.015-.02 Once temps drop below that it seems to run .02-.03. No CO alarms at all so I think i'm ok. Now that temps have been a little cooler during the day and cold at night, the water coil seems to be making good hot water. Should only get better as it gets colder.
