Dow Jones futures locked -550

The stop number on Dow futures is 550 and they said it has been locked at that number a few times over night, about 30 minutes at a time from what I've gathered. It looks to be a very down day today for the stock market. One guy on CNBC was saying that today's drop could be in the thousands.

As a government employee, I know that my retirement account, Trift Savings Plan, is not looking to good. At least I'm buying low every 2 weeks.

Unfortunately we didn't hit the bottom today like it looked like it was going to before the market opened. The guys just on CNBC were saying what type of stock you would want to be in with each president. McCain was oil and Obama was companies that made things green like windmills, solar. I guess they are expecting oil to make a large climb if McCain is in office.
