Since there needs to be furnace cement on the flange for the stoker and furnace cement I use needs a day to cure I am stuck with sore knees,
cramps, bruises and scrapes method.

My boiler runs all year is still warm after clean out.

Is there furnace cement available that cures in a few hours and doesn't glue things together?

Also I've found that a paint scraper works great on the inside walls when cleaning it out!
I never used furnace cement on that stoker flange. I used flat stick-on gasket material. Works good!

What brand and who carries it? Thanks[/quote] No specific brand. I see it all over the place. It's flat, with peal off paper on the sticky side. Kind of a tight knit material. Roughly 1/8 - 3/16 thick. About one inch wide. I see it in white, and also in dark gray/black colors. At the time, I had both colors left over from another project. From just having my stoker unit out, I believe I used the white. Either one will work. Color doesn't matter in that application.

I'll have to look for for that gasket material. I need some for my ash door also.

YES!, that's the type gasket material I used on my syoker flange. Never thought of saying "same material as ash pan door gasket".
