The seem to be the best source (and maybe the only) for coal and stoves on Long Island. They seem like very nice people. I'd talk to them.
I bought bagged coal @ Rella last year, when they took down my license info (I'm in Nassau county - no tax on heating fuel) she said "there's places closer you can get coal". Then quickly clammed up when I asked "where?".

No problem with Rella, but wouldn't mind avoiding the Exit 36 -> Exit 64 LIE round trip if I could find it closer.

I'm an EX islander :!: :!: :!:
Been burning coal since 1980.
Got my coal at Ekhart's in Baldwin or Belmore coal and fuel oil.
Ekhart's had pea in 100 lb. bags and Belmore had 40 lb. bags.
Both were cheap, may not be around anymore. Been gone since 2000.
Hope this helps.
