Palin's 'going rogue,' McCain aide says

ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico (CNN) -- With 10 days until Election Day, long-brewing tensions between GOP vice presidential candidate Gov. Sarah Palin and key aides to Sen. John McCain have become so intense, they are spilling out in public, sources say.


Several McCain advisers have suggested to CNN that they have become increasingly frustrated with what one aide described as Palin "going rogue."

A Palin associate, however, said the candidate is simply trying to "bust free" of what she believes was a damaging and mismanaged roll-out.

McCain sources say Palin has gone off-message several times, and they privately wonder whether the incidents were deliberate. They cited an instance in which she labeled robocalls -- recorded messages often used to attack a candidate's opponent -- "irritating" even as the campaign defended their use. Also, they pointed to her telling reporters she disagreed with the campaign's decision to pull out of Michigan.

What is going to happen in 4 years when she starts looking tired? Is the war chest going to be big enough to keep her looking good? If not, then there isn't much she has to offer and there will be no win in a beauty contest either. The GOP will cast her off as fast as they can. I hope they get someone to run who I can vote for. It would be nice to have an election where you feel either choice would be okay, rather than either choice is a concession vote.

If he screws up in an interview he cab blame it the "gotcha Journalists" Devil. Then he can start over with someone who is friendlier, gives the questions in advance and promises editing rights to the interviewee.

That was pretty funny, I hadn't seen that clip. You have to admit that was a bit different than not knowing what you read for news, what Supreme Court case you disagree with etc. But all the same, I got a kick out of that clip.
