Hi All,
I have an Alaska Kodiak III (purchased used). I also purchased a power venter. How do I hook the power venter to the control dial so I can adjust the fan speed of the venter? Right now, the fan is moving the air too fast and taking heat out of the stove and pumping it outside.
Thanks,
Barry

You can buy a reostat like a ceiling fan speed control and use it to slow the powerventer down.. But you must have a manometer to check the actual craft it is pulling on the stove.. too little and you can have Carbon Monoxide leaks,, VERY dangerous..
It is also recommended to install a barometric damper between the stove and the powervent. This can be installed without the reostat, and set to reduce the draft on the stove,, and save your heat.
