Come on Terry....Obama is somehow culpable for a Halloween prank done in bad taste that he knew nothing about? Where was McCain when one of his workers falsely alleged she had been beaten by a black man? (answer: They used her fake story without even verifying it first...Country First?.... :no1: )

I didn't say he was culpable. As a black man however, he should have come out and said directly to the knuckleheads who did this that it was offensive to him, take it down. He could have scored major points doing it.

I never heard a word from the McCain camp about that campaign worker who faked the attack, positive or negative.

Check the story Terry...It was reported nationally by a McCain campaign spokesman even after the police said they hadn't verified the facts yet.

Looks like I spoke too soon.

TPM is reporting that, in the early stages of the Ashley Todd fake attack story, the McCain campaign's Pennsylvannia communications director was pushing unconfirmed details to the media.

Dick , you know how it is....oh wait you don't.
So you jump on the fact that they didn't vet the story fast enough? what about the "Kill him" story published without FACTS to back it up? Campaigns want to jump on stuff to get the edge, this is not new and you of all people know this. To ignore the Bias in the media today is beyond the pale. Consider this:

What if buses filled with Boy Scouts heading to the RNC convention were attacked. What if Buses filled with conventioneers had cinder blocks dropped from over-passes had gone un-reported in the MSM? My very own former Congressman Rob Simmons and his group including elderly men and women were physically attacked on their way in to the convention. This was all MINOR news....even minor to my local liberal press in eastern CT.

We see a double standard applied all the time, like say, the "a--holes" who hung Obama dummies up and the MSM (out of concern the actual photos would be to upsetting) pronounced the dispicable acts as Rascist! the moral outrage was palatable.

OK, it was, BUT showing Gov.Palin time and time again and to then just dismiss it as a Halloween joke, was to put it nicely, was a Joke.

If you or anyone else not to see this for what it was is ignoring an obvious fact. Kinda Like John Lennon said " women are the N*g^*rs of the world, except he should have said "conservative women" and it would have been more accurate.

I just got home from seeing Sarah Palin in York today. It was a very interesting experience. Wow is she cute. The whole thing was very civil and everyone behaved themselves. I guess only in the city do they start trouble. I can't wait to see John McCain tomorrow in Percasie at 12:00 pm. Political rallies are a very good thing to bring family to. it is good "G" rated entertainment. :)

Difference is I hold McCain accountable for the actions of his senior campaign staff while you hold Obama accountable for every nutcase in the country who have nothing to do with him. Obama must denounce all the nuts in the country while McCain has no accountability for his own staff?

Hey, you'll get no arguement from me on accountabilty.
I would hope...hope that you could step back a bit and see the standards by which the oppostion party must follow though.
For instance, online contributions. McCains camp requires one to provide accurate and verifiable info before submitting funds. The Obama camp accepts BLANTENTLY false personal info and then pockets the money and then says " we check afterwards if the funds and people are legit". What kind of fools do they think we are.. We'll check afterwards?

C'mon, be honest with us now, fishy no?

So who is really behind these suspicious donations Ed? Al Quieda?......Osama Bin Ladin??....Al Capone's ghost??

The whole thing is a ridiculous red herriing meant to distract the voter. All sides to a Presidential campaign get donations from many donors, some of whom are trying to influence the candidate. That's always been & always will be a fact of life. For McCain to try to pretend otherwise is just more BS.

“Sen. Barack Obama’s presidential campaign is allowing donors to use largely untraceable prepaid credit cards that could potentially be used to evade limits on how much an individual is legally allowed to give or to mask a contributor’s identity, campaign officials confirmed,” reports the Washington Post’s Matthew Mosk.

Fictitious Donors Found in Obama Finance Records

"Someone identifying himself as “Jockim Alberton,” from 1581 Leroy Avenue in Wilmington, Del., began giving to Mr. Obama last November, contributing $10 and $25 at a time for a total of $445 through the end of February.

The only problem? There is no Leroy Avenue in Wilmington. And Jockim Alberton, who listed his employer and occupation as “Fdsa Fdsa,” does not show up in a search of public records."

Thank you Stephen....

Dick, why would you skirt this issue, if this was McCain I would be Ticked off and EMBARASSED ( 'cause you'd be smacking me and Stephen down over this in a heartbeat).
This is not a Red Herring, it's crazy and leads a rational person to believe they have no regards for tranparency.

Then I suggest the FBI raid where these donations are really coming from.....That's the only way we will finally catch Osam Bin Ladin...who is really bankrolling Obama's campaign!!....Right Stephen?
