Looking back on the country that was turned over to GW Bush 8 years ago vs what's left of the country that he will be dumping on the next President, I think I should go back over all my anti-Bush remarks & "take the gloves off"...... be not quite so PC....Add a little more vitriol & ...Speak My Mind! :nana:

Please. Looking back on the last 70 years the damage of the democrats is now irreversible. We are decending into the maelstrom of communism by democratic process at a breathtaking pace. The founders never envisioned the moronic spending of the democrats over the last 70 years and certainly the bandwagon effect of frustrated Republicans adopting the same habits in recent years. They also never envisioned the silly judicial attempts to legislate from the bench nor the largesse of the congress in providing for the "general welfare" with a monthly check!

Get a clue, devil. GWB wasn't half as bad as the liberal press made him out to be. It's tough to keep a good image when the press is 95 per cent against him everyday. Congress however has managed to keep their poor image despite cheerleading from the liberal press.

Must be the same group that looked at the Chinese gymnasts and said their age paperwork was in order.
Some people can blow off the rules with "why are you so worried about a little thing like that"? Typical liberal mentality, bend the rules when necessary.
Same mentality with gay marriage. I say, if marriage can be between a man and a man, why stop there, how about a women and a pony? Or a man and a sheep... Rules or morality...who needs them

Therein lies the problem: What gives YOU the right to decide what is & is not moral?
Are you God?
If so......Please let me win the LOTTERY tonight!
If not......Why don't you stop worrying about MY morality if it doesn't effect you? Why do you care if 2 men or 2 women want to marry eachother? How does that effect you? (personally, I could care less if you wanted to marry your favorite LAMPSHADE!....None of my business)

In court, you could not even bring suit against it because you have no "STANDING"....Meaning.....It's none of your damned business......Butt out!

There's an old axiom in political science that says: You cannot legislate morality.

It always seems that truly moral people keep to themselves & treat others as hey would like to be treated themselves. It is always the most IMMORAL of people who try to make RULES for others to live by THEIR immoral standards.

All that is necessary for great evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing... said numerous ways by numerous people. I think you should be free to do as you wish. Fine marry a goat. I still won't agree it, but it's you business. You don't have to live by my standards or anyone else's UNTIL you use your freedom to harm others. Say you post your wedding pictures. I don't have to look at them. Say you start posting sexy pics of your goat. Did you get your goat's permission? (Probably, because any goat that would consent to marry you would possibly consent to almost anything :) ) Say somone uses the pics of your goat for some nefarious purposes. Does that harm your goat? What if you encourage the demeaning and abuse of goats in your postings? Then you've harmed your goat and every other goat that has aspirations of a better life. What if you are so busy pursuing your selfish interests that you don't even get the how much harm you are doing? Hopefully, somone more altruistic, one of those moral people will point it out to you. Of course you are free to continue to be an a$$, and even go so far as pushing to legislate IMMORALITY, which is the extreme state we find ourselves in now.... forcing me to marry my goat, or forcing me to let you marry my goat.

I don't care how great your goat's legs are... it's wrong. Do you not have the same God-complex to try forcing that immorality on me? (Oops.... thread merging)

No wonder your opinions are so messed up, devil, You need to go back to square one!

Man lives safely, comfortably and prosperously in a society of rules and laws. Ethics and morality, without the constraints, embellishments, or objectives of religion, are unwritten rules and laws that are in man's best interests for the common good of man. They are subjective and changeable by man for his own purposes. Written rules and laws are extensions of morality. It is every man's job to impose their morality on mankind. It is the job of the government to legislate morality. That is what they debate in Congress and other legislatures around the world, each and every day.
