I can certainly understand why people who earn more than $250,000 per year will vote for McCain, to keep the status quo......What I can't understand are the people who make far less than that but allow themselves to be duped into voting against their best interests???

I cant see how what Obama is proposing with taxes will work . Unless he gets rid of all Gov spending including the Milatary . Just not enough people above that tax bracket to allow it . By the time he get his proposal to be in place it will be people who earn 100k /year .

If you read the threads it is pretty clear there is a lot wrong, too much so to list here, but everyone is entitled to their opinion. Maybe they think Obama's birth certificate, which has been verified by the vetting process as well as factcheck.org, will somehow be found in Africa disqualifying him at the very last moment? Who the hell knows. I am glad it will be over regardless of who wins so we can all wich Bush a very happy life on his ranch in Texas. They are getting their village idiot back.

At least it will all be over tomorrow. And SLN is having their pre election coverage on tonight so as I was taught vote early & vote often.

I think there is no person presently living on this planet who could undo the damage that GW Bush has done in the last 8 years. Whoever "wins" tomorrow will not be able to fix all the Bush disasters within 4 years. That would be impossible!

$250,000?? It's down to $125,000 now, and that's the number used before the election, imagine what it will be after the election when the dems are in full control

It has always been that anyone making less then 250k would not see a tax raise and anyone making under 150k would see a tax cut. That has not changed in the past couple of months from reading his tax plan.

Letting the Bush tax plan expire = tax increases

Removing the FICA tax cap = 7.5% increase on 102K and up

Business charging more to make up for their increase = EVERYONE will pay more for goods and services.

No business can keep absorbing any more increases, some will leave, some will fold, the rest will increase their prices passing it on to the consumers. Look at GM, 2 more plants closing BUT, they're building a huge plant in Brazil.

And GM closeing two plants & other businesses cutting back or shutting is all because of a man who isn`t even elected yet or might not be. But has nothing to do with the current administration. Get real. I know it`s prpbably Jimmy Carters fault. No wonder this country is in the shape it is. I`m sorry but imo you have to a least give some thought to what your saying.
