Linc,
The metal framing around the soapstone is fastened with the four bolts in the corners but I'm not sure if that's what holds the soapstone on or they are somehow glued. It doesn't look like the framing overlaps the stone. That's gotta be some strong glue!

Coalmeister,
Do you think I have a death wish??? You can triple dog dare me and it still aint happening! While that couch is comfortable, it looks a whole lot better under her than me!

By the way, in case anyone is interested, the views tallied 400 as of writing this. That's got to be some kind of record! Considering the amount of members that are online in the last few days, I'd say some of you were looking more than once. :nono:

Happy voting tomorrow!

Scott, I have to admit that your wife is the best looking stove accessory posted so far. :)

Back on subject. I thought that they maybe glued on but I thought I would ask. I need to find some glue to re attach the manufaturers plate on the back of my stove. It fell off or was taken off before I bought it. I think I may also check into getting a set of those panels to dress up my stove. :D

Linc,
If the soap stone is on by glue, it's def not the same glue that holds the plate on. I keep my plate with all my paperwork in a filing cabinet. I'll check more on those panels and how they are attached.

Linc,
Took a good look with a flashlight and the are definitely glued on. The cast trim does not overlap them at all.
Like I said, my plate was handed to my with my stove so I know it's not the same glue. Good luck.

This is tooooooo eerie.

I read your post, then checked out the pictures. I had to do a double-take when I saw the picture of your wife. She looks JUST like me. It was freaky.

I thought I'd put it to the test. I enlarged the picture and called my daughter over (she's 15). I told her to look and she asked me "Where's that?". I told her that it wasn't me. She said "What!!!! Let me see." We then made the photo even bigger and she got right up the the monitor. She still couldn't believe it.

Here's the even stranger part; I'm a neighbor; right in R.I.

So are you going to post a pic so we can compare? :D
It's strange how unrelated people can look almost identical. My mom went to a festival this year. She went up to a guy and asked what are you doing here thinking it was me. I'd like to meet that guy. It's pretty tough fooling one's mother.

pamerped lady we would like to see what you're talking about. It would be funny if you could take the same exact shot and then post them side by side.

I was thinking the same thing. Pose the same way and have hubby take a picture. Have just been too busy with this new stove.

I will post soon.

Cap,
No way! That would be the only time I get to sit back, have a couple of drinks and watch an old war movie :D
Pampered,
That's too funny! I gotta see that! My wife supposedly has a twin that is a teacher in our town but we saw her and it's close but more the mannerisms than looks.
