After I snapped this picture, I remembered this old thread.

I love coal heat.

Daughters 2 and 3 of three (aka 'the twins') basking in the warmth.

I wish I had a picture of my son and daughter (7 and 5) standing in front of the stove every morning. It's my last look at them every morning before I go to work. It's the vision that stays in my mind all day long. It's funny but when I leave, they are back up against the stove and smiling at me! Thanks Horace, I didn't really put that together until your post! That will be a long term memory for me now. Crazy what you take for granted.

My pleasure, Scott. The picture I didn't take was the one of them getting dressed in front of the stove every night after a bath. Stove has run for the past four months, but it's always the same question when they get out of the tub: "Daddy, is the coal stove on?"

Try that with oil.
