Cigars-Yes. Nothing like a nice Hemingway while sittin' by the stove watching college football.

I used to but after my heart attact last year and being diagnosed this year with diabetes I had to give up everything that remotely resembled fun.My DR said his job is to make me as miserable as possible for the next 20 or so years. So far he's doing that very well.

I'm particular to Fuente's but my favorite casual cigar (and I can't find them locally) is a Temple Hall from Jamaica. They tend to be a little sweeter.
I was at a restaurant with a cigar bar below it for a company X-mas party and one of the guy's bought us all a Fuente Opus X. I think he s**t himself when he got the bill
Brought back memories, I had to go to my humidor to look at that band again.
Cigar bands are like tattoos. They all carry memories to the owner but the cigar hurts less :D

Cigarbid is OK, but too many people have found out about it. Prices are much higher than they used to be. Atlanticcigar.com has about the best prices I've found. JR is good, but they have gotten away from the really good goofball weekly special.
Best I've had lately was a J Fuego Delerium and Gispert Maduro Robusto. The latter a super low dollar smoke.

My Dad always said that Smoking a fine cigar is like making love to a beautiful woman. After you're done they both leave a fine taste in your mouth.

I''m still looking for that special cigar.

Bless his soul, best thing he ever did was to put me to work in my teenage summers working under the Connecticut Valley Shade Cloth, paid 90 cents a hour.

Any good Connecticut wrappers out there anyone could recommend that would fulfill my Dad's opinion?

thanks

brucer

Have you tried the Nub Connecticut ? Very short in length, but a good 1.5-2 hour smoke. Lots of flavor packed into a small package. There are a few others, such as the Rocky Patel Connecticut....I'm more of a maduro and habano guy myself, but I enjoy a good Connecticut now and again....
