We've got our mailbox and newspaper box at the road. The delivery vehicles have worn a rut in front of the boxes. I've been dumping my ash in the rut and leveling with a rake as it builds up. It seems to be packing down well as they run over it and the rut is almost leveled out.

My budding has a spot at his excavation business where he sorts old concrete, dirt , and stuff. I just dump it there when my galvanized barrel fills up.

Driveway is about the only thing. I tried it on the walkway but it stick to your boots & makes a mess in the house! Driveway traction or landfill is it.

It is good to put in your garden to adjust the Ph in the soil.

I just dump it in the woods. Will this alter the PH enough to kill trees? If so, I guess Ineed to stop before it causes serious damage.

It will be good for plants that like acidic soil....Tomatoes for one. It is also good as part of a concrete mix. You can do a little research on that.

I'm raising my driveway with it. My coal door is about a foot to high. The deliveryman had to shovel it out of his truck. The choices were lower the door or raise the ground. If I lower the door I can't store as much coal as I can now so the ground will come up 18".

Added:
If anyone has ash they want to get rid of this year in the Back Mountain area, I've got a home for it. :)
