Question #1.

On top of VF3000 you have 4 holes.
1 large 3 smaller.
The large one 1 1/4" is it for supply or return?

The 3 smaller ones, 3/4" does it matter what you connect to them?
I'm assuming temp gauge, probe and pressure relief.
Should that be in any particular order?

How about the side.
The larger one is again for supply or return,
and the smaller one for what?

Just the beginning...
More questions to follow.

Dan

I don't think it matters. From left to right, I've got the PRV, gauges and temp sensor. On the side is the return and boiler drain.

question 2.

Currently I Have a TACO float air vent (150psi 240F).
Can I reuse it with my VF3000 or should I get a different one?

Also the expansion tank.
Currently I have a Amtrol model 30.
Precharge pressure 12psi
Max temp 240F
Max working pressure 100psi.
Can I reuse that, or something differen needs to be installed?

The air vent should work fine. The expansion tank we'd need more details... are you adding the coal boiler to your oil system? If so, you'll need an aditional tank. If not, then it depends on the total gallons of water in the system. Do you have baseboard or radiators? Infloor? How much of each?

I'm replacing my propane fired boiler. VF will run alone.
That expansion tank was used with that propane boiler.
I have baseboards, not cast.
