My most sincere thank you to all who served. A special one goes out to my 93 1/2 yr old father-in-law. He was a B-17 mechanic and was within earshot of the first A-bomb test, er, "a munitions bunker lighting off".
Want to help out those serving over there now? Donate your old unwanted cell phones to this organization:
Send them the old cell phone and they sell them to recyclers. The proceed of this non profit are used to purchase phone cards so those serving over there can call home. Check it out, I think this is a commendable effort started by the bedrock of young America.

I had an experience on the bus today - as many of you know I drive a school bus. The high school I drive in and out is named after James W. Robinson who is a Medal of Honor Award recipient from Viet Nam. This afternoon as I pulled in for the afternoon run, I noticed a gathering by the school's memorial to SGT Robinson. I heard the sound of taps as I stopped and left the bus. I immediately came to attention and noticed the other drivers who were vets were doing the same thing. How cool is that? It was as if we were frozen in time. It's been 16 years since I wore the uniform; I guess it's true what they say about old habits... Lisa

As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.

Less talk, more action. If we really want to honor our vets, get Senator Tom Coburn to take the veterans' bill off hold.

He voted twice for unfunded supplementals to send our vets into action; now's the time to repay some of the sacrifices they've made by supporting them after their return.
