I noticed that my baro sometimes gets stuck so the flap will not move. I tried sanding the inside of the pipe where the flapper sits and just noticed it's stuck again. Should I remove the flapper and sand the edges of the flepper?

If you open it by hand you should be able to see where it's hanging up, usually a bent tab near the hinge. No need to sand or file, just bend it back. I have seen the hinge pins wear a groove deep enough to make them hang up, if it's that worn, it's time for a new one.

I noticed that if I pushed the pin that is on the left of the flapper to the right the flapper moves just a little and then the flapper doesn't get hung up. I'm just worried that the flapper might move and get hung up again. I guess I need to take it all apart.

I tried the WD40 for the hell of it and it didn't help but I did lube all my hinges and such while I was at it. Anyway, the pin probably did wear down the hole it sits in by a little which make the flapper hang. If I could get that pin to sit a little higher then I would rest assured if the flapper moves it will not get hung up. Any ideas.

How about sliding a piece of alum foil around the pin to act as a shim ????

Freddy you inspired me. The pins have to be able to move freely or the flapper doesn't work right so a wedge in the hole to raise the pins doesn't work. I took a 2" x 2" piece of sheet metal and cut a small v in the top. I didn't realy need the V but what the heck. Then I flexed the metal so it would fit the contour of the outside of the baro. next, I put a dab of goop on the metal swatch and used aluminum tape to tape it all in to place. This does esentially what Freds setup does but I was ablt to do it in place and I didn't have to use screws (not that it matters). Problem solved.

They can stick if the ear on the flapper that goes through the pipe and acts as a stop rubs on it.

Even though it doesn't hang like before it still doesn't flap open and closed lke it did before. I'm not sure why. It does move freely so I'll have to check to see if it's perfectly level.
