New Assault weapon Ban

New Assault weapon Ban

PostBy: danzig On: Thu Nov 13, 2008 2:14 pm

The anti gun lobby is trying to pass a revamped Assault weapons ban. This time it will be expanded to any weapon with a detachable mag. or multi bullet capacity. Keep in mind they are after pistol grip, collapisable stock, flash supressor (muzzle brake) and high capacity mags, etc.

I hunt and also target shoot. I have bolt actions, AR-15's and AK's. This is crazy all over again but will be worse.

Stock up now. And contact your senator and crongress man and tell him to stop this madness.

Got a link to back that up?

True sales are on the rise. Hopefully lots of them are first time buyers.

Yes, I am an NRA member. You can go to ther website or to any other gun (milatary surplus, gun site) and see. There is a reason why ar-15's and ak's are a allocated item. People are buying them in bigs numbers because the bill for the ban are under way. I went to order mags for my rifle the dealer had 10,000 of them on stock 2 days after the election they were all gone. Most of the stuff is on back order if you can get it buy it.

Keep in mind VP Biden is a very big anti gun person. He was greatly responsiable for the 1994 assault weapon ban to go through. Obama is agains concealed carry and handguns. He said he will sign the bill if it is passed with in 3 months of his election.

You can also go to page 48 of the DNC convention. You can go to this link and open the thumbnail and see for your self. go to http://www.ar15.com click on do you value your gun rights listing and then click on the 2008 Democratic platform.

Good luck to all and god bless. I hope the masses did not elect the antichrist. God forbid

You can't have total control over a populous if they have guns.So I assume the guns gotta go first.

What most poeple don't know is that our forfathers wanted us to have guns so that if a tyrannical government got into power we as good Americans could and should shoot them !

As a liberal Democrat (who own firearms but believes we need intelligent, common sense gun control in this country) I have no fear of the Obama administration trying to take away my 2nd amendment rights, & neither should you, imo.

The problem is Devil, to too many liberal Democrats, intelligent, common sense gun control means the general public doesn't need any guns, especially guns that "look scary" to them. I don't have many hobbies outside of coal burning but I do enjoy the heck out of target shooting. The gun I enjoy using the most is an AR-15. It shoots the same round as many deer rifles, fires one round at a time but was classified as an assault weapon.

& I don't think anyone is trying to take away your semi-auto AR-15. (if anyone tries, they will fail anyway

(In other words, I'll bet you'll still have your AR-15 when Obama leaves office, even if it's 8 years from now) ;)

None of those links have any information about a specific new law or bill. They are all campaign platforms, the president alone cannot make law.

You stated "trying to pass" which would mean there is something in Congress right now, and that it's being "expanded" to cover specific items.

I'm in the "guns don't kill people, people do" crowd but I just can't stand all the paranoia that goes on with this subject. I am not a member of the NRA, namely since they tend to endorse political candidates who aside from being pro-gun are offensive to me on just about every other subject.

I'm also in Carolyn McCarthy's back yard. Her son getting killed by a mental patient does not qualify her to serve in Congress.

You mentioned that pro gun politicians offend you.I find now that almost ALL politicians offend me.Rhetoric is all I hear.I think that's because few in politics has any substance any more. The country's going down the tubes and the politicians are fiddling. It's the Rome thing all over again.

As a none of the above, I realize that 2nd Amendment rights were put there to protect the other nine Amendments. How are we going to protect the other nine if all we are allowed to own are 10/22s. It's not about hunting and fishing as the leftist media contends. It's not even about protecting yourself from home invasion. It is about protecting your freedoms. So when the jack boots come a knocking to tell you that your coal stove must be collected for the greater good, go ahead and try to stop them with your government approved pea shooter.
