Hey everyone. I am expecting my Alaska Channing III to be installed next week. I have bought the coal trol digital standard+. I thought the dealer was willing to install it for me, but it turns out due to the fact it would void the warranty that the dealer cannot do it. So my question is to anyone with the channing III and the digital standard+, is do I have to do anything special to it besides mounting the thermostat and control panel. For instance rewire anything, or is it all just plug and play? I am not the most mechanically inclined guy in the world, so I just wanted to know if this is something I can do myself or if I would need some help.

if your stove has plugs on the wires, no problem. Otherwise you have to cut and add the plugs to the wiring and maybe rewire some of it.
that's probably why he said it would void your warranty. I didn't want to mess with my keystoker, it seems to run fine with the basic thermostat, but my HyFire already had the plugs, so the conversion was easy to CoalTrol.
