Just installed 520 and I must say it is a wonderful piece. I am still having trouble fine tuning it in. We use it to heat large tanks at my place of business. So I am looking towards a very high output. Right now I seem to get the best heat at 6 teeth and 6 air. I want to bump it up to 7 or 8 teeth but I can't seem to get enough air to it since I still get hot coals on the pot ledge. I am getting about 150 deg with the 6 and 6 setup. I really would like to see around 180 deg.
One thing I have noticed is the pot is not exactly level. The boiler its self is level but the pot leans towards the back slightly. This is a new unit and I double and tripple checked to make sure we had everything put together correctly. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

The pots will lean slightly; it's not unusual.

It's an experimental process with the feed and air. The air should be less than the feed.

What setting is your aquastat? 160-200?

Make sure the pot is seated into the notches on the air tube and the air tube notches are in the stoker pins.Running at higher feed rates will lessen ash ring and give a larger fire in pot.Good air is when the flames when viewed through the hole in the door should just lick the top of the boiler.
