I would recommend against running a coal stove off a PV that would have to run 24/7. Save enough to build a cheap masonry block chimney & you'll have a permanent, noiseless, requiring no electricity to run vent for the rest of your life! (for probably not all that much more $$$)

I would also agree on the forgoing the PV. I originally bought the power venter ($595) and was reading to install that and heat with coal shunning the oil barons in the East. Well several months later I actually went the chimney route and I have my stove running now.

Look into the stainless steel A vent. We paid $1900 to have that installed thru a closet in the spare room. You only need 2” clearance and can box it in once complete. We are very happy with it and when you do the math it is cheaper over time and more pleasing. When you run the power Venter 24/7 you are going to use a good deal of electricity (some estimates on the site are anywhere between $12-20 a month). In addition
Take the sound of your stoker motor and multiply that by 3 or 4, the power Venter seemed that loud. You also need to re-oil them a few times a season which means shutting your stove down.

I, like you, am still looking to find a way to get the most out of my stove since I am going thru about 100lbs a day and not really keeping the house that warm unless it is warm outside. Trail and error.
