Last night was the coldest night of the year. 20* & very windy. We woke this morning & I could feel the cold as I came down the hallway from the bedrooms. It felt c-c-cold in the living room, dining room, kitchen. It felt much colder on my feet. As I got to the dining room I'm thinking outfire, blown circulator pump, the underground pipes can't flow enough BTU's.....then.... then.... I noticed the back door wide open. It needs a firm shove to seal & latch it. About twice a year it doesn't get latched. Each time it happens we're real careful for about 6 months. That being said, the thermostat at nipple height showed 63 degrees. Not bad!

You think that might make up for the door being open? I've been raising it, right now it's at 135* & three clicks on the asher.mr1precision wrote:What's the anthrastat set for?

Hi freddy
Boiler running for 20 minute straight this morning.
I went to the cellar to check out why.
Found a big hole in the coal pile with a auger in the bottom turning to beat the band.
Pull out the trusty coal hoe filled in the hole, problem solved
looks like I take a trip to the coal pile for another 4 ton this weekend

Well....you could try shutting the door but...maybe the AA-260 would have been a better choice. Then You'll have nice warm FRESH air aaaaaaall winter.Freddy wrote:You think that might make up for the door being open?
