i burn a 1557 hot blast made by USSC. the fire box has a 70 lb capacity. my home is just over 1000 sq ft, but I do not have duct work on my furnace. just a few elbows and it works a lot like your stove, just radiates up through the floor. I would say, o maybe between 50 lbs, give or take ten or fifteen pounds in a day

My best is 20 hours on my Harman Mk I. It hold 2 hods of pea if I cram it in, roughly 40 pounds.

That was in my 1200sf single level home. Can't remember the conditions but I'm sure it wasn't all that cold. House was 70*-ish.

Now I'm in a bit larger house on two floors. Stove is in the basement. Same stove and I can go 12 hours anyway. I haven't tried much more than that.

It's been 20's over night and high 30's/low 40's during the day here. I'm learning the airflow in this house so my temps fluctuate a bit but I can keep it between 70 and 74* on one hod per day. 20 pounds basically. I can get it from 68-70* on half that.

Even though this house is larger, it's 100% more insulated than my old one.

Our longest idle was about 3 weeks ago when we had to go to the hospital for our new baby.
I loaded up the Mark II and we left at 5am Monday morning. I set the draft at 1/2 turn open. Out side temps were 25 at night and 45-50 daytime. This stove will idle at about 130 stack temp. I came back home at 1pm Tuesday to shake and reload the stove. There was a dull red bed with a little unburnt coal on top. I opened the draft control all the way and 15 min later it was cooking along pretty well. Easily hot enough to shake and reload. Stack temps went back up to 250 before I shook it down. If my math is correct, that was a 32 hour burn. There wasn't alot of heat, but it stayed going just like I hoped it would I shook it, refilled it, and reset it to get back to the hospital to hang out with my new son. We all came home at 3pm Wed so that next day was a 26 hour burn. He loves the stove room. When he gets fussy we take him in and turn on the stove blower if it's not already on and that helps to calm him down.

We were going out of town for Thanksgiving, so I shook and loaded up the Hitzer 50-93 and it was still burning 36 hours later. I also backed the thermostat down to what I consider the lowest setting used during warmer weather like early fall or late spring. This kept the stove burning, just enough.
