hello everybody I have one quick question. just installed a keystoker 105 in a friends house and I was wondering what the stack temp should be. he is heating 3000 square feet and it is tied into main hot air heating system. so the main heat system circulates the hot around the house. it has been pretty cold hear in the northeast about 20 with high winds he is keeping the house about 68-70 and the stove is stoking all the time to keep up with hear demand. he is ony burning a 1 and half bags a day preety good I think to heat that many square feet. he estimates he will save 4000$ a year with coal over propane.
right now our specs are
draft .02
stoker 8 turns out from full stoke with one inch of ash at the end of stoker
stack temp 350-375
blower set a 150degrees with a shut off of 100degrees
burning rice coal blasack
thanks
chris

Suunds like it working, yes, it will keep cranking to maintain the temps.

Where are you measuring stack temp (before or after the baro?), with what? Inside or outside the pipe.

.02 seems a bit low, most like to run at .04, measured with a manometer?

My hyfire runs about 250 exhaust (after the baro, just before the chimney.) That is INSIDE the pipe with a probe.

SOunds good. I know the baro drops the temps about 100 degrees. So, mine would be in the 350 range before the baro.
