The new pumps are so far ahead it's like comparing a stone axe to a laser scalpal. The new pumps have one moving part, it is coolant/water lubricated. I have one pump that has run for 11 years non stop. Try that with a B&G 100 series.. and the new pump burns like .7 amp not 2+ amps..

The B&G pumps had seals for the 'oil box',they leaked, the couplers were junk,,, they were designed to wear out.. all those silly springs, eyelets, wear points.. what a Rube Goldberg... the single coil spring coupler was a vast improvement.. but way to late.. and you still had the current draw and the leaking oil box...

And the price... $70 retail for a Taco 007 and it does the same job... no comparrison..

If it has a boiler tee on the feed side not that often. If it doesn't every 2 years or so depending an the size of the tanks. Some of those tanks were HUGE like 45 gals.I have seen tanks not have to be drained for 22 years and still working fine.
