Hey guys I was just wondering how long you can expect your blower to last since it runs 24/7 for months on end?

Many folks have 10years+ out of their fans,, Just annual cleaning and lubrication required.

As long as you keep them cleaned and lubed. I am going on 4 years on my keystoker, and my hyfire is older than that. Did have to replace one Combustion blower when it burnt out.

I have a blower motor on my Russo stove that has got to be 25 years old.I will admit he is beginning to make some noise and run warm but that is the length you might expect with cleaning and oiling. If it goes down tomorrow,it won't owe me a dime. Fractional h.p. motors are amazing for the small price they cost. Regards,Mike

I wondered the same thing when I got my hotblast. It has 2 small blowers(550 cfm).I think I figured one day they run 5000 hr per year.I'm on my 3rd year and so far so good.I bought a spare for 125 bucks just to be safe.

On my oil HAF it has the original 1/4 hp motor 1954 but I don't expect that from a new motor.

36 years on mine, it's a cheap Fasco. Keep the squirrel cage blades clean with a toothbrush or Q tip (dust and ash accumulate on the leading edges and kill efficiency and balance) and do not over oil it. A drop or two of oil twice a year is more than enough.
