Great Remote!

Great Remote!

I just bought this remote http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp ... 8086022323

& what's great about it is the simple set-up!! It comes with a computer disc that you load into your PC & then connect the remote up to it with the supplied USB cable & then enter the makes/model #'s of all your equipment & you're done!

If you want to"Watch a DVD", you press one button & your TV, DVD & Audio amp turn on , & everything works correctly off the new remote.
If you want to "Watch TV"..you just press one button & your TV & cable box turn on & everything works correctly!

No more hunting for mfr codes or lining up remotes to learn commands!! Took me 5 minutes to set it up!

(& the price was good too!)

Is it Wife proof, she breaks every one we buy, been through about 6 or 7 in the past two years!

That does look like a good deal, I will try one, thanks Devil.

I just got it this afternoon so I can't vouch for it's durability, but as far a wife proof..........That's why I bought it!! My wife is terrible at working electronic devices & our granddaughter (2 years old) always wants to watch DVD's of The Wiggles & my wife tries to follow my "Cheat Sheet" to go from watching cable TV to DVD.........Hopeless!! (I have the DVD connected to only play audio through our Sherwood Receiver so it involves quite a few changes. Now.....ONE button & she's done!! (It sends out a macro to all the needed components but you don't have to build the macro any more. Just tell the remote what your equipment is & voila!~!!

Wow, that sounds great. I have a pretty nice receiver, a Pioneer Elite, dvd player, TV of course and it is a pain becuase the remote for the receiver SUCKS!! My old stereo had a decent one but I hate the new one. I'll have to check tis one out.

I haven't played around with the more advanced capabilities yet but I think you can "tweak" the remote to assign different functions to buttons, etc. I just mainly got it for her to be able to turn the damned stuff on!!

They've all been recalled. :x

Damn, cheap Chinese reverse engineered product...... Never worked as advertised. Not enough power to control them.... :mad2:

Usually needed external stimulus of very expensive retrofit to override the default settings.

I found that this product usually satisfied short term problems : :shots:
