Sounds like you have paid for at least part of the water coil and install already!!

.09?? Where do you get that from. I'm about .05cents. There are 3 separate charges on my bill plus taxes. But the main charges are below.
Transition charge .0085 cents per KWH
Transmission charge .0059 cents per KWH
Generation charge .035 cents per KWH
plus $17 service fees but would pay anyway. I figured I saved $57. That's the cost of the circ pump.
I have a PP&L plan which is in effect for my residence but PPL is not taking in new customers for this plan.. The plan has on & off peak hours. On peak, I cannot consume more than 2 demands per month.
One demand is equivalent to 1 KW of electric consumed in one hour between 0700 & 1700hrs Mon -Fri. The 3rd through 6th demand will cost me $6.40 ea. The +7th demand is no charge.
Last year I was charged for about 5 or 6 demands over the one year period. The kids use too much power after school before 5p.
BTW, the other materials were used for the most part and were n/c.

I'm pretty sure I pay about $.095/KW for electricity, and about $.11 over a certain threshold. I need to look at my bill. I usually have a bill around $110-130.
I'm not at home right now, so I'll look it up later.

Ugh. I haven't figured my electric rate out for a while but the last time I did it added up to almost 15 cents per KWH. They actually charged more for the delivery charges and fees than they did for actual electricity that month.

At least you're getting *something* out of it. On LI here we have the Shoreham nuke, which they almost completed and never started. My kids will be paying for it.
Just take the whole bill and divide it by your Kw/hrs used. They hide all the costs and taxes - whatever - it still costs me the total...

Now I wish I had not looked at the bill... $158 for 1337 kwh, this equals $.118 /KWH .. OUCH.
I start out at .045xxx/KWH untill 500kwh, then jump to .059xxx, but the delivery charges, delivery surcharges, taxes etc... they all add up.
I've been home all this last month or so. with computers, lights etc etc on. So I'm not surprised by the high bill. It actually is a lot lower in the summer since I have almost zero A/C in this place.

This is why I just simplify the whole process and divide my total bill (including all fine print B.S.) by the total number of kilowatts used that month. That yields the actual cost per kilowatt hour...

I designed and built a replacement domestic hot water coil this week. I used sch. 80 ¾" 304L pipe with socket weld fittings. Some overkill built in but hoping it never fails. All joints are tig welded. My son and I made the final install today. He benched welded the elbows. The holes in the stove are the same holes I used with the previous coils.
My homemade original ss tubing as seen in this thread failed a few years ago. I replaced it with a store bought 304 unit which I never really like. My transition joints external to the stove would leak.
