Was an attendee at my first TSO tonight. Took my wife, my sons and three of their friends. 10 in all. Real good show. Lived up to all the hype that I've heard about it. :) Music was awesome and was enjoyed by everyone. The lightshow was outrageous! Problem is that I started thinking that perhaps maybe I was getting into this coal thing a little hard. One part of the show there was a big blowtorch going off in the center of the arena. You could feel the heat instantly. I started thinking that that blast had to use some pretty serious propane to be that strong. Then before you knew it, I was tranferring my propane calculations over to the coal equivalent. Then it was the tremendous balls of fire that we going off half the concert. Oh boy!!!!!! there was about 20 semi's full of coal rolling down the street  The kicker were the lights. All I could picture was some coal fired plant somewhere starting up and just blasting like hell during the second half of the program. Man I was in a coal quiver by the time the show was over   Drove like hell home so I could check my stoker. COAL. I can say that show was fantastic and can't wait to see it again. Catch it if it comes to your neck of the woods. :) Scott

Yeah Scott, last month was my first experience with TSO. I loved it. When they were doing the fire show I leaned over to the wife and said I bet I can get my boiler to do that. I caught an elbow to the ribs. :)

I caught that a few years back and except for the moron behind that kept criticizing it because he thought he was going to a rock concert it was alright. I rarely get too involved but the I was their with my GF and her daughter and her daughter palys the violin so was really interested in it, had to tell him to shut the *censored* up".... I wouldn't go see it again but that's really not my thing and I'd imagine it would be like like watching a movie again.

Overall it was pretty good show, I know a lot of people are impressed by light show but I've seen Rush twice so to me it wasn't overly impressive.

TSO is not coming to my neck of the woods. However the group 12/24 is, and they are like a cover band. I'll be going to that this month. Can't wait

I brought my wife to see them last year. Was a pretty cool show, but a little on the mellow side compared to what I'm used to. ;)

I saw Van Halen with Dave back out front the week before TSO -- that was MINT!

The last show I saw was the Greateful Dead when they played JFK stadium in Philly. Last year My wife and I double dated with some friends and saw TSO. It was an awesome show and nobody was trying to sell us weed before the show! :D

:funny: Yeah, I hear ya!

It was strange to see people actually using the urinals & not going in the sinks, floor drain, & 3-to-a-stall in the shithouse! toothy :funny:
