I just installed my Hyfire II. Thanks for the help in finding one down in Mass., Jerry. After starting the coal and setting the thermostat the coal on the right side is up about 4 or more inch and not burning as hot as the left. The coal on the left is about 1 1/2 " from bottom and burning well.
Is there any adjustment that I need to make so that they are both equal ? Therm. is set at 48 max. and 6 min. It seemed to work fine when it was being started in fr 10
Feed Rate on Hyfire II
Nice choice on the stove!
Are the connections correct? Make sure all are correctly attached.
Also, I'd wait AT LEAST 30mins before you make any more adjustments. Did you light both sides at the exact same time?
Just some questions to ponder.
Give it an hour or so, and see if the other side catches up.

Yes I did light both sides at the same time. When I cleaned the grate from the rear and the stove met therm. temp. the right side went out.
I unplugged the stoker and the combustion fan until it gets figured out. Maybe when I cleaned out the rear it threw too much coal on a small flame. I don't really know.
Everything is hooked up properly. I ran the thermostat on test and the power venter is working. The left is running on min. right now and that looks fine.
I am open to all advice. Thanks for the help. Getting late I will check back tomorrow.

6 and 48 are good, I think that is what I have mine set at.
make sure you have the stoker motor bolted tight to the bottom and it's not uneven.
Maybe the stoker wheel is slipping or something is jamming the plate. drop the stoker motor down and check the Rotating Wheel, sometime if you try and push the plate back and forth it can loosen the stoker wheel, I believe it is a backwards thread. Mine came loose once and lost the fire on the one side, couldn't figure out what happen until I dropped the stoker motor and the rod/wheel had fallen off....
I know some of the newers CoalTrol only ones, they eliminate the stoker adjustment screws....mine was converted from Rheostats, so I still have the adjustment screws, but both I think are screwed all the way in for Max. FEED Adjustment. I let the coaltrol maintain it.

Thank you for the help. Clean the grate and tightened the set screw and all is good. Suppose to pick up the jacket this week and cannot wait till it is hooked centrally. The house is about 3800 sqf. with basement. Stove is just burning at min. right now, but it lets me work out in the warmth.
Thanks to everyone for the help.
