Hello:

Just wondering if anyone has info or maps of the Clear Spring Coal Company once located in West Pittston Pa?

There's some pics here that I have from a "statement of coal mined" from 1886 at the incredible price of 25 cents a ton.

There's two more if you click the previous button from 1897, I believe they have prices of 40 cents. Hard to make out though.

BTW welcome to the forum neighbor. If you want to invite some others to use this feel free, the more the merrier.

Among the best sources for period maps showing location of Collieries is the Sanborn Fire Insurance Maps collection held by Penn State and accessible at https://www.libraries.psu.edu/psul/digital/sanborn.html
Clear Spring Colliery was located northeast of Exeter Avenue and northwest of Ann Street, as shown on Sheet 22 of the 1903 Pittston map. The breaker stood at the end of Clyde Street; the culm bank between Ann Street and Elm Street.
