Vent Installed

I just installed one 6" x 12" vent thought my floor. I don't notice a lot of air coming up it, BUT! the hot are is now flowing up the stairwell a lot more. Before the vent it wasnt coming up at all.

MM, that means you have circular airflow moving in your house. We get tthe same thing, air comes down the vent and air flows up the stairwell and circulates around the house. You are pretty a pretty handy girl.

I just ran another 8" duct off the top of my stove to the stairway where we had an old floor furnance, so I already had the rectangle hole in the floor, just cut up a sheet metal bottom with an 8" hole and hooked it up. Moves some warm air upstairs now, and with the ceiling fan, it really helps circulate the air now.

Probably because you were so patient in getting your stove up and going. Most guys would have been plotting on how to blow the thing up after what you went through.
