We are supposed to get 12"+ of snow here in Massachusetts over the next 12-24 hrs with another storm on Sunday. Got my TLC humming along at about 300* & my daughter (new TLC this year) has hers running great too! Hers has been running straight for the last 2 months with no problems!! (she won't let her husband touch it!! )

Everyone else all set?

In about an hour I get to drive the 22 miles from the office to home. There's about 6" of snow on the ground and it's still coming down hard. I can't wait to hit the road!!! I wish I had a snowmobile but I guess the Saturn will have to do. :)

Usually we get a bit more than the Cape but less than Boston. I'm about 3 miles from the ocean & that keeps things warmer in the winter & cooler in the summer, so it's pretty ideal! (I used to live in Framingham which, being west of Boston was terrible)

The snow has just started in midcoast Maine and 15*F.

The SF-250 is running 200*F on the stack and the heat collector is pumping out 260*F Air.

Hay Devil, were you in Framingham for the blizzard of '78? I was in Worcester at that time , with

about 4 FEET of snow... Not fun!

Nope....We moved from Framingham to Plymouth in 1975. Funny how people around here still panic since the blizzard of 78 as far as buying everything that isn't nailed down prior to any storm! Must say, Dukakis (Gov at the time) did a good job!

Rick, that's quite a rig! Makes my quad with a plow look tiny.
To my surprise yesterday, when I got home from a long stressful day, My wife greats me at the door with a smile and told me she filled the hopper and emptied the ash pan. :D I showed her how to fill the hopper in case it ran low but I never showed her how to empty the ash pan and the spare was still full in the garage from cooling down :o .
When I asked her how she knew how she told me it was from watching me do it.
What a nice thing to come home to. :)
Anyway it's cold steady snow in Northeastern Ma. Quad primed and ready. Waiting for the right time to head out. Gotta work tomorrow too. That should be fun :( .
Good luck everyone!

A whole bunch of rain here in western Pa today although we started the morning with a couple of hours of freezing rain. The outside temp went to 45* today and the creeks are running very full. Supposed to drop into the low 20's tonight but I think we are to only get 3" or so of snow this weekend. This weather blows! I want freezing temps and a little snow! I am chomping at the bit to go fishing.

Central NJ got a few inches of snow here, now it's raining. Great day to stay home! 75* in here, Monticello stove behaving splendidly.
My landlady's hot water heater blew last night, and the sump pump was running but not pumping when I went in the basement. Glad I went down there to do a wash!!!!
Hot water starting to flow out from the sump pit. I shut off the water, found the pump problem, ( rotted out impeller housing- fast repair with epoxy putty and duct tape) pumped out the water, ran to HD at 8:30pm, had a new one installed by midnight. My soldering set off the smoke alarm, other than that not too shabby. That's my deal with her, no rent as long as I handle these situations. I'm glad it worked out.
