Yes. Harman, Keystoker, and EFM stoker boilers offer an oil gun as an option. Keep in mind that you can only use one or the other at a time, and it is not an automatic change over.

The Harman SF-2600-SS burns Wood/Coal/Oil. It can burn oil as a backup if/when your solid fuel burns out .

Thank the lawyers, there are liability issues with this. The best way to do this is with two separate appliances, your original oil/gas unit and an add on coal appliance. It is safe and easy to do.

I agree with coaledsweat but then you will need another chimney .

Or maybe you can use the chimney for the coal boiler and direct vent your existing gas or oil boiler.

Get a good reliable coal boiler and you wont need the oil for backup . Most boilers today are very reliable . Or like posted just use the chimney for the coal and powervent the oil or gas. I have had my oil boiler fail in the past before the coal boiler it wasn't a big deal ,just fix it then move on to the next project. The same goes for having a coal boiler . When I started looking at coal boilers I started with the same idea that you need both .But after 2 seasons with coal found it not to be necessary with a good system . When I was burning wood two systems were a must ,coal not so much . They are as reliable or in some cases more reliable . Dave
